Job summary

MSB Consulting Engineers is seeking a professional AV Systems Installation Technician to install and support audio, video, and control systems in corporate and educational environments. The role involves interpreting schematics, pulling cables, mounting equipment, and delivering fully functional AV systems to clients.

Locations include Elmwood, LA or Covington, LA. Candidate will read wiring diagrams, terminate cabling, and configure systems with Crestron, Extron, or AMX platforms, with on-site

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with electronics training preferred.
• Experience in commercial AV installation is preferred (1–3 years).
• CTS or manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install AV equipment including displays, projectors, speakers, and control systems.
• Pull, terminate, and label AV and network cabling (HDMI, CAT6, coax, fiber).
• Mount racks and displays following drawings and specs.
• Integrate systems with Crestron, Extron, AMX platforms.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot AV systems to ensure functionality.
• Document installation progress and changes; communicate with project managers.
