Job summary

MSB Consulting Engineers is seeking an AV Systems Installation Technician to install and support audio, video, and control systems in corporate environments and public venues. You will interpret schematics, pull and terminate cabling, mount equipment, and ensure fully functional AV systems for clients.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, cable pulling, and hands-on installation across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial AV installation, 1–3 years preferred.
• OSHA safety certification preferred.
• CTS or manufacturer certifications (Extron/Crestron) would be a plus.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Responsibilities

• Install AV equipment: displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, video walls, control systems.
• Pull, terminate, and label AV and network cabling (HDMI, CAT6, coax, fiber).
• Mount racks, displays, speakers, and other AV gear per drawings and specs.
• Integrate systems with control platforms (Crestron, Extron, AMX).
• Configure and test AV systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Document installation progress and as-built changes.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support as needed.
