Job summary

UWM is seeking an A/V Support Technician I to provide frontline audiovisual support across conference rooms, training spaces, and auditoriums. You will handle incident calls, diagnose issues, and assist with live events including recording and streaming.

The role emphasizes independent work, basic Crestron Mercury use, and training room functionality checks to ensure rooms are event-ready. On-site attendance is required, with strong emphasis on safety and service.

Qualifications

• 1 year of AV technical support experience required.
• Fundamental knowledge of video switching, multi-view, recording/streaming.
• Familiar with auditorium tech: lighting, cameras, audio mixers, recording.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot AV issues.
• Basic Crestron Mercury functionality knowledge.
• Basic understanding of training room operations.
• Experience with Vitec TV management or similar system.
• Basic familiarity with RDP tools: UltraVNC, SCCM.
• On-site attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Work independently with minimal supervision on daily support tasks.
• Handle incident calls from intake to resolution with high client service.
• Diagnose problems and determine effective solutions.
• Set up and support live AV events, including recording and streaming.
• Perform conference and training room checks to ensure event readiness.
• Escalate issues when needed and within scope of role.
