Job summary

Eastern Michigan University seeks a Coordinator of Audio Visual Services to manage all AV needs for university events and the Student Center. You will operate, maintain, and upgrade AV systems and train student staff in equipment usage for large campus events.

Responsibilities include on-site event management, setup of projection, sound, lighting, streaming, and recording gear, and ensuring daily system reliability. This role supports a dynamic, fast-paced environment with irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Three years of professional AV production experience.
• Three years of customer service experience.
• Three years of experience in large events and conferences.
• Proven knowledge of programming and coding.
• Ability to work with diverse student staff and teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and inventory all AV equipment.
• Manage on-site events and AV needs for large campus events.
• Train student staff on projection, sound, lighting, and streaming equipment.
• Ensure equipment functions daily across Student Center locations.
• Create and update AV guides; conduct user training sessions.
• Be the primary contact for AV questions from students and staff.
