Job summary

Michigan State University in East Lansing seeks an AVIT Technician II to provide technical support for over 350 centrally managed classrooms and additional spaces.

Reporting to the AV/IT Integration Manager, you will install, configure, maintain, and repair audiovisual equipment, respond to service requests, and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime during classes and events.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have education in Electronics Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• One to three years of related work experience in computers, electronic components and repairs; or in computers, networks, and data communications.
• Ability to use email and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and repair audiovisual equipment in classrooms and conference rooms.
• Respond to service requests and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades for reliable operation.
• Support major university events such as sports games and conferences.
