Job summary

IES is hiring a Commercial Audio-Visual installer to support installation and integration of AV systems across commercial sites. The role includes cable pulling, rack pre-wiring, mounting projectors and displays, and setting up cameras and microphones.

You will work to industry safety standards and must pass company qualifications for vehicle operation. Experience with InfoComm standards and vendor platforms like Crestron, Biamp, Polycom and LifeSize is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Formal electronics education preferred.
• Some experience with AV installation techniques or field servicing.
• Experience with video conferencing systems (Polycom, Tandberg, Cisco, LifeSize) is preferred.
• Strong experience in AV residential and commercial installations, including structured wiring and smart home designs.

Responsibilities

• Install AV systems per diagrams and specs.
• Perform AV cable pulling and rack building/pre-wire.
• Hang projector screens and install displays, speakers, cameras, and microphones.
• Build structures to mount AV equipment safely and to safety standards.
• Troubleshoot AV systems at expert level and diagnose issues.
• Terminate shielded cables and conduct terminations per diagrams.
• Conduct cabling work including testing and verification.
• Collaborate with project teams; provide feedback to improve installation processes.
• Travel to job sites as required and interact professionally with clients.
