Job summary

Avidex is seeking an AV Technician I to support the installation of audiovisual and technology systems at customer sites under the direction of a Foreman or Project Manager. You will gain hands-on experience with a variety of technologies in commercial environments.

This temporary assignment offers training, potential certifications, and the chance to build a career in AV integration, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship across projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as needed.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on project needs.
• Ability to obtain required state licenses or certifications, where applicable.
• Ability to obtain a Powder-Actuated Tool Certification.

Responsibilities

• Install AV equipment, cabling, and system components under the direction of a Foreman or Project Manager.
• Assist with equipment mounting, cable pulls, rack assembly, and installation of audiovisual systems.
• Read and follow project documentation, drawings, work orders, and installation instructions.
• Report project progress, issues, and scope changes to the Foreman or Project Manager.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout each project.
• Protect customer facilities, equipment, and materials during installation.
• Assist with project closeout by collecting equipment manuals, unused materials, and other required documentation.
• Work with the project team to ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Follow OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies at all times.
• Attend safety meetings, training sessions, and certification courses as required.
• Maintain required certifications and continue developing technical skills.
