Job summary

Innova Solutions seeks an Audio-Visual Technician to lead mounting, wiring, testing, and commissioning of complex AV systems across sites. You will configure DSP racks, manage cabling, and validate networked devices, working with contractors and junior installers.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years in commercial AV installation, strong standards knowledge, and a valid license. Certifications in AVIXA/Q-SYS/Crestron are a plus, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of verifiable commercial AV installation experience (rack building, rough-in, trim-out).
• Mastery of professional tools, rigging hardware, multi-meters, tone/probe kits, and advanced testing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA standards, InfoComm/AVIXA installation standards, and NEC codes for low-voltage cabling.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural mounting, rigging, and setup of projectors, screens, displays, video walls, and loudspeakers.
• Build, wire, and dress control/DSP racks; load configurations and firmware for Crestron, Extron, and Q-SYS.
• Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat6/6A, fiber optics, shielded audio, high-bandwidth video).
• Deploy and configure networked AV devices, validate connections, PoE delivery, and IP addressing.
• Interpret architectural blueprints and AV line drawings; manage site inventory and coordinate with contractors.
• Mentor Level 1 and 2 installers; provide onsite leadership.
• Conduct commissioning, including signal flow testing, gain staging, and hardware verification.
