Transource Services Corporation is seeking an experienced AV/IT professional to support professional audio-video, networking, and technology projects for U.S. Government and military customers nationwide.
The role involves hands-on installation, integration, and troubleshooting across AV, IT, and low-voltage systems. Ideal candidates have experience or certifications in AV, networking, electronics, and structured cabling, with willingness to travel.
Transource Services Corporation is a technology and systems integration company in Phoenix, Arizona that has been serving customers since 1984. We specialize in providing IT, audiovisual, collaboration, networking, and custom technology solutions, with a strong focus on U.S. Government and military customers.
We're more than an equipment reseller. We're a master systems integrator, designing, building, and supporting complete customized technology solutions. Our capabilities include custom computer systems, data center storage, network infrastructure, secure video conferencing and collaboration, and professional audiovisual integration.
Our AV and collaboration business has supported military and government clients since 2005, providing systems used to help personnel communicate, train, and operate.
We're looking for someone to join our team supporting professional audio-video, networking, and technology projects for U.S. Government and military customers throughout the United States.
We're open to different experience levels.
If you already have experience with professional AV systems, networking, structured cabling, video conferencing, or systems integration and can hit the ground running, we'd like to talk to you.
We're also willing to train the right person. If you have a solid technical background, enjoy working with technology, are good at figuring things out, and are motivated to learn, you don't necessarily need years of professional AV experience.
More than anything, we're looking for someone who is honest, dependable, hardworking, and willing to take initiative. Much of our work is project-based and takes place at government and military facilities, so professionalism and reliability are extremely important.
Depending on your experience and the project, the work may include:
Hands-on, real-world experience is highly valued.
Experience with professional AV, networking, IT, structured cabling, electronics, or low-voltage systems is a major plus.
Industry and manufacturer certifications such as AVIXA, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, Cisco, or CompTIA are also a plus, but practical experience, technical ability, and troubleshooting skills are more important to us than certifications alone.
We're also willing to train someone who doesn't have extensive professional AV experience but has a strong technical foundation, good mechanical and troubleshooting skills, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
You don't need to know every manufacturer, product, or technology we work with. Being able to learn, adapt, troubleshoot, and figure things out is more important.
This position requires a significant amount of travel, primarily within the United States.
Our projects frequently take place at military installations and other government facilities around the country. Candidates should be comfortable traveling regularly and understand that project work doesn't always fit a typical office schedule.
Being comfortable on the road and able to work independently while traveling is important for this position.
Because much of our work is performed at U.S. Government and military facilities, candidates must be able to pass applicable background checks and satisfy customer and facility access requirements.
Professional conduct is particularly important. When you're at a customer facility, you're representing Transource, whether you're working with another technician or directly with government or military personnel.
We're flexible about where the right person ultimately works, but that flexibility depends heavily on experience.
This will need to be an in-office position while you're learning the systems, equipment, processes, and how we operate.
We're open to a remote arrangement for someone who already has the necessary technical experience, requires little or no technical training, is highly self-motivated, and can work independently without constant supervision.
Remote employees would still need to travel to project sites as required.
Transource has been in business since 1984 and today provides IT and systems-integration solutions for government and military agencies. The company's stated capabilities include custom computing, data center storage, network infrastructure, secure video conferencing and collaboration, and audiovisual integration.
For someone who enjoys technology and doesn't want to work on the exact same thing every day, this position offers exposure to a fairly broad mix of AV, networking, computing, collaboration, and systems-integration work.
