Job summary

AV3, Inc., a southern Maryland-based AV systems integrator, seeks a Lead AVTechnician to support government AV/VTC production and installation. The right candidate must be mechanically inclined, adaptable, and able to meet physical demands, with up to 60% travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities include project life-cycle management, loading/testing control systems (AMX, Crestron, Extron), configuring AV gear, fabricating racks, site surveys, and maintaining certifications.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; CTS preferred.
• 5+ years loading, testing, troubleshooting AV control systems.
• Ability to travel up to 60% to CONUS/OCONUS locations.
• DoD Top Secret clearance strongly desired.

We are excited to be recruiting for new talent to join our growing and innovative team –Lead AVTechnician!The right individual must be mechanically inclined, adaptable to a dynamic work environment, and able to successfully meet the physical demands of the job. This position supports our Government AV/Video Teleconference (VTC) production and installation department.

Theresponsibilitiesof this role may include:

• Manages all life-cycle phases of a project including providing accurate project documentation
• Loads, tests, and troubleshoots control systems such as AMX, Crestron, and Extron
• Loads, tests, troubleshoots, and manipulates DSP files including ClearOne, Biamp, and Extron
• Configures advanced AV equipment including Extron, Crestron, AMX, CISCO, ClearOne, and BIAMP
• Fabricate, terminate, and install AV and IT cabling; RJ-45, DB-9, 3.5mm, XLR, fiber, etc.
• Configures video conferencing solutions such as Polycom and CISCO
• Test, commission, troubleshoot, and diagnose various AV systems
• Performs site surveys and document requirements for Engineers and PMs
• Maintain certifications and continuous relevant training
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Travels onsite to lead installs for various AV Projects. Travel may be up to 60% at times.

Toqualifyfor this position, you must possess a HS Diploma or equivalent;CTS Certificationpreferred; and the ability to travel up to 60% of the timeto various CONUS and OCONUS locations are required.An activeDoD Top Secret security clearanceis strongly desired.

Additionalqualificationsinclude:

• At least 5 years of experience loading, testing, and troubleshooting control systems such as Extron, AMX, CISCO, ClearOne and Biamp
• Experience leading a team of Technicians ensuring AV Standards are followed
• Experience fabricating, terminating, and installing racks for deployment
• Experience providing accurate project documentation for end-users and management
• Experience testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and diagnosing various AV/VTC and low-voltage systems
• Ability to life 50lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb
• Operating knowledge of all MS Office products
• Ability to follow basic flow diagrams
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Pay Range

$75,00 - $80,000 per year

The above pay range represents a general guideline; however, AV3, Inc. considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
