Job summary

Emerson College is seeking an Assistant Manager, Screening and Performance Facilities, to support daily operations of the Bright Family Screening Room and Paramount rehearsal spaces. You will manage schedules, provide first-line projection and AV support, and supervise student employees in coordination with the Manager.

The role requires AV familiarity, documentation of procedures, and the ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of AV, screening, or performing arts experience.
• Experience with students, faculty, or customer-facing roles in higher ed preferred.
• Familiarity with digital projection, basic AV equipment, and booking scheduling systems.
• Experience producing technical documentation or delivering user training preferred.
• Supervise, train, and mentor student staff.
• Evenings and weekends availability based on facility usage.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for BFSR and Paramount spaces, including opening/closing and room readiness.
• Serve as front desk contact during class and event hours.
• Supervise and mentor student employees; coordinate coverage.
• Develop and update operating procedures and training materials.
• Maintain facility schedules in Webcheckout, EMS, and Google Calendar.
• Support screenings, rehearsals, classes, and events; prep and reset rooms.
• Conduct checks of projection/AV; document issues; escalate to MTE/Facilities.
