Job summary

Emerson College is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the Paramount Film Soundstage on weekends or as needed for staff coverage. You will lead a small team of student staff, ensuring safe, welcoming environments and high-quality user services for classes and productions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Film/Video Production with 5–7 years in film production, live event supervision, and crew management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Video/Television/Film Production, Broadcast preferred, 5–7 years of film production and crew supervision
Stage operations experience preferred
Ability to direct and evaluate department operations, and knowledge of professional film production procedures

Responsibilities

Oversee the Paramount Film Soundstage during shifts to maintain safety and a welcoming environment
Supervise two to three student staff; guide user services quality
Train faculty, students, and classes in Soundstage equipment and safety procedures
Assist productions in solving camera, rigging lights, and set construction issues
Ensure space use complies with Emerson rules and regulations; maintain safety of people and equipment
Communicate repairs and installations with the Manager and perform base-level maintenance
