Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies, Snow Mountain Ranch, is seeking an Assistant Center Services Manager to lead staff, coordinate event setups, and manage AV operations for conferences and programs. You will supervise seasonal teams, train on AV systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day event execution with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating room configurations, handling equipment upkeep, and collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of hospitality experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred; AV experience may substitute.
• Hands-on AV equipment experience (mics, digital mixers, projectors, sound systems, video matrices).
• Excellent customer service and guest relations.
• Strong troubleshooting and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; work with diverse groups.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
• Flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong leadership to train, manage, motivate and mentor a diverse seasonal staff, fellows and team leads.
• Assist with hiring and onboarding Center Services staff, emphasizing AV operations training and evening shifts.
• Assist the Center Services Manager with departmental operations, workflow coordination and administrative duties.
• Execute event orders accurately, including room setups, AV configurations, and refreshment deliveries.
• Develop and maintain AV expertise to support conferences, family programs, staff events, and other group functions.
• Oversee AV systems and equipment including operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, testing, inventory, upgrades and procurement.
• Work with Center Services Manager and Director of Operations to evaluate, recommend and purchase equipment within budget.
• Maintain equipment inventory records and ensure checkouts/returns are documented.
• Review daily event reports to verify setups and deliveries; ensure staffing meets daily demands.
• Safely use ladders, lifts, hand/tools to install, repair, and maintain AV equipment.
• Coordinate cleaning of meeting spaces, restrooms, and common areas; operate carpet-cleaning equipment.
• Provide support to Housekeeping or Laundry as needed.
• Possess valid US driver’s license and comply with YMCA driving rules to operate YMCA vehicles.
• Demonstrate stamina to work in the described environment.
