Job summary

General Motors in Detroit area is seeking an Audio Video Technician to support in-person and hybrid collaboration services across meeting rooms, event spaces, and streaming environments. You will troubleshoot AV issues, operate video switchers, and ensure reliable day-to-day operations for GM teams.

You will work with Cisco, Microsoft, Google, Adobe and other providers, maintain SOPs, and assist in implementing Core IT solutions while delivering excellent customer service during high-visibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in audio/video, video conferencing, unified communications, or related collaboration technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting video conferencing, audio systems, streaming environments, and AV platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for AV and collaboration services across meeting rooms, event spaces, and related environments.
• Operate video switchers during live and recorded events.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues; coordinate remote or on-site resolutions.
• Maintain SOPs, support documentation, and related materials.
• Support platforms from Cisco, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, and other providers.
• Assist with implementation and support of Core IT solutions; communicate status to leadership.
