Job summary

Best Buy in Tinley Park, IL is seeking a Car Electronics Installer to set up new tech in customers' vehicles in our store's installation bay. Internally called an Autotech Agent, you’ll advise customers and teammates and pursue certifications to perform at an expert level.

You’ll install car electronics such as remote starts, stereos, cameras and amps, verify vehicle compatibility, deliver high‑quality service, and complete trainings to advance to Autotech Agent Level 2.

Qualifications

• Prior experience installing car electronics.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Driving record that meets Best Buy’s safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install car electronics in customers' vehicles (e.g., remote starts, stereos, cameras, amps).
• Use provided guides to identify compatible products and complete installations.
• Verify vehicle make/model and communicate compatibility concerns before installation.
• Provide high level customer service and product recommendations.
• Complete trainings and certifications as required.
