Job summary

Rivian in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Site Coordinator for autonomous vehicle testing within the Autonomy Systems Validation team. You will plan, coordinate, and lead a team of vehicle operators, implement safety protocols, and work with hardware and software engineers to hit strategic goals.

The role focuses on testing on public roads and private facilities, with data collection, route planning, and performance reporting. Second shift hours apply (4p–1a PT), and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in automotive driving or autonomous testing.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of good judgment in fast-paced environments.
• Attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project requirements and scheduling with coverage.
• Assign test routes and vehicles to operators based on availability and testplan.
• Act as primary on-site contact for the operator team.
• Develop training materials and onboard new operators.
• Monitor driving and schedules to maintain safety standards.
• Create operational dashboards and reports to report results.
• Oversee data transfer from the vehicle to cloud/servers.
• Perform vehicle inspections and initial troubleshooting.
• Lead continuous improvement of processes on site.
• Work second shift (4p-1a PT).
