Job summary

Wisk Aero LLC in Hollister, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to join our R&D team focused on rapid evaluation of autonomy systems in flight environments. You will integrate new software modules into our helicopter platform and bench setups, develop architectures for rapid test and evaluation, automate deployment and data extraction.

Responsibilities include building and maintaining a full stack autonomy system, testing embedded sensors from simulation to flight, and collaborating with systems

Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Engineering, Aerospace or STEM plus 3+ years software work.
Proficient in Python for robotics and IO for devices or network services.
Experience with JIRA for project management and bug tracking.
Experience with Linux and containerization (Docker).

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain full-stack autonomy software for surrogate aircraft.
Create tests for embedded sensors from simulation to flight test.
Collaborate with systems engineers on navigation and flight path management.
Design test plans, collect sensor data and validate results.
