Job summary

Near Earth Autonomy, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer to contribute to autonomy systems for aviation. You will work within a cross-functional product team to author requirements, define architecture, and support design reviews, verification, and field testing.

Travel to field tests occurs roughly 1–3 times per quarter, with time mainly in the office and some remote work. The role requires 5+ years in Systems Engineering for Aerospace, with helicopter experience preferred, and a degree in Aerospace

Qualifications

• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• Experience with modification and test programs for aircraft avionics or controls is required.
• Ability to assess tasks and apply appropriate processes, tools, and levels of formality and to adapt to changes in course.

Responsibilities

• Development: define system architecture, interfaces, component specs, and do requirements tracing.
• Verification: plan and execute requirements verification, unit tests, integration tests, and flight testing.
• Release management: manage version control, maintain documentation, and handle hardware/software configuration.
