Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking an AcuityOS engineer to develop, deploy, and maintain autonomy software for vehicles, including inter-agent communications and hardware interfaces.

The role involves field testing on autonomous vehicles in real-world environments, with significant time spent deploying software across sensors, autopilots, and perception modules. Strong Linux/C++/Python skills are required, plus CI/CD experience and remote-friendly collaboration.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD or 5 years of multi-agent autonomy experience.
• Strong Linux and command-line proficiency.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++ (C++ preferred).
• Experience with robotic systems, sensors, and vehicle autopilots.
• CI/CD tooling experience (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Knowledge of inter-vehicle communications (DDS, ROS2).
• Experience integrating third-party software and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and validate software systems on autonomous vehicles, focusing on robotics, sensors, and vehicle autopilots.
• Field deployment and testing, deploying software on vehicles and validating functionality in real-world environments.
• Interfacing with sensors and autopilots, integrating them into the autonomous vehicle framework.
• Work with perception and autonomy teams to deploy and optimize perception pipelines and vehicle autonomy software.
• Address inter-vehicle communication for collaborative autonomous operations.
• Interface with third-party software and APIs integrated into systems.
• Improve software quality and CI/CD processes for reliability.
• Leverage simulation environments to test vehicle systems before field deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document processes.
