Job summary

Scientific Systems is seeking an Autonomy Software Engineer I to join the core AI-enabled Autonomy Software development team. You will perform day-to-day agile software engineering for initial development, and support DevSecOps/CI-CD in integration and testing.

Role includes autonomy software integration/test support across multiple programs aligned to customer objectives. Responsibilities include migrations to SSCI Digital Engineering Environment, writing documentation, and supporting sprints

Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree or equivalent in a related field or software engineering experience with AI for Robotics/Autonomy.
• Experience leading autonomy software to achieve operational capabilities.
• Experience with modern tool chains: git/Gitlab/Github, Confluence/Jira, CI/CD, build automation, automated tests, MBSE.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and possibly Java/Rust as required.
• Knowledge of DoD robotics standards (OMS, ROS, AFSIM) and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day agile software development for initial development.
• Support DevSecOps and CI/CD integration and ongoing software tests.
• Provide autonomy software integration and test support for multiple programs.
• Migrate applications to SSCI Digital Engineering Environment as directed for DoD needs.
• Write and review software documentation.
• Support development sprints and code reviews.
• Develop software to meet program milestones using modern Agile methodologies.
• Engage with Prime and customer-facing activities and stay current with industry trends.
