Job summary

Scientific Systems Company, Inc. seeks a Lead Autonomy Software Engineer to drive cutting-edge autonomy solutions for Group 3-5 UAS. You will lead a small engineering team, integrate mission autonomy tech, and coordinate with customers on prime interactions.

The role requires expertise in C/C++, Python, robotics, and edge platforms, plus strong leadership and proposal experience. Hybrid work and US security requirements apply.

Qualifications

7+ years of autonomy technology development with team leadership; MS with 5+ years; or PhD with 2+ years.
Experience leading proposals and winning contracts.
Experience building software for edge platforms.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, and related languages.

Responsibilities

Lead a team to develop innovative autonomy solutions addressing customer requirements.
Serve as subject matter expert in mission autonomy technologies.
Support or lead marketing and proposal efforts in mission autonomy.
Manage team milestones and prime/customer interactions.
Stay current with industry trends and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
