Blue Origin in Denver, CO is seeking an Autonomy Software Systems Engineer II for the Lunar Permanence program. You will work with software and controls teams to define the systems and software across lunar programs, and develop state machines using Simulink/Stateflow to enable safe, repeatable spaceflight.

Requirements include a BS in a related field, 2–5 years of experience, and experience with C/C++ or Python. MATLAB/Simulink exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years professional experience.
• Experience with C/C++ or Python scripting.
• Demonstrated experience developing software requirements and test cases.
• Hands‑on experience with state machine definition, controls theory, or MATLAB Simulink (Stateflow exposure preferred).
• Experience working on a cross-functional engineering team.

Responsabilités

• Independently develop state machine definitions (Simulink/Stateflow) for assigned subsystems under general supervision.
• Write and maintain software requirements, verification plans, and test cases for owned scope.
• Participate in fault management discussions and begin contributing to FMEA-driven requirements for assigned subsystems.
• Support HIL/SIL test setup and execution; begin authoring test procedures independently.
• Work with FSW, GN&C, or controls engineers on requirements flowdown for assigned interfaces.
• Develop tool, test, and verification software as needed.
