Job summary

Seventh Dimension LLC in Virginia Beach seeks a UxS Flight Software & Autonomy Engineer to develop, integrate, test, deploy, and sustain software for unmanned systems. You will work on mobile and embedded software, autonomy solutions, mission planning, and ground control interfaces, collaborating with engineers and operators to deliver capable, reliable capabilities.

Requires active Secret TS/SCI eligibility, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related field or qualifying experience.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on software experience with degree, or 7 years without.
• Experience supporting unmanned systems with software development and testing.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python and MAVLink-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy mobile and fixed software for unmanned systems.
• Support embedded software on unmanned platforms and subsystems.
• Develop software for command/control, ISR capabilities.
• Design, test, document, and maintain software applications.
• Support autonomous navigation and mission planning capabilities.
• Develop and maintain MAVLink interfaces.
• Integrate operational technologies onto unmanned systems.
• Configure mission planning and ground control software.
• Implement sensor fusion and data processing tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and end users on solutions.
• Support testing, demonstrations, fielding events.
