Job summary

Seventh Dimension LLC seeks an Unmanned Systems Software Engineer to develop and deploy software for unmanned platforms and ground control systems. You will work on autonomy, mission planning, sensor integration, and C/C++/Python applications in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires experience with MAVLink, PX4, ArduPilot, and QGroundControl, plus strong problem-solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This is a full-time, on-site position in Virginia Beach, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline or qualifying equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of hands-on professional software experience with a degree, or seven years without a degree.
• Experience supporting unmanned systems and ground control software.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Ability to work under security requirements and sustain mission support activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy mobile and fixed software solutions for unmanned systems.
• Support embedded software on unmanned platforms and subsystems.
• Develop software for command and control, ISR capabilities.
• Design, test, document, and maintain software applications.
• Support autonomous navigation and mission planning capabilities.
• Integrate MAVLink-based interfaces and protocols with ground control software.
• Collaborate with engineers and end users to deliver innovative solutions.
• Assist in developmental testing, fielding events, and mission support activities.
