Job summary

Seventh Dimension LLC in Virginia Beach, VA, seeks an Unmanned Systems Software Engineer to develop and deploy mobile and fixed software for unmanned platforms, supporting autonomous navigation, C2, and mission planning capabilities.

The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with embedded systems, telemetry, and sensor fusion, collaborating with engineers and end users to deliver advanced software solutions.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with an active Secret clearance and TS/SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or qualifying equivalent experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of hands-on professional experience with a degree, or seven (7) years without a degree.
• Experience supporting Group 1/2 Unmanned Systems through software development, integration, testing, or mission support.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and object-oriented software development.
• Experience with MAVLink, PX4, ArduPilot; sensor fusion with IMUs, GPS, cameras, LiDAR.
• Familiarity with Qt/QML and QGroundControl; TCP/IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy mobile and fixed software solutions for unmanned systems.
• Support embedded software on unmanned platforms and subsystems.
• Develop software for C2, ISR, and mission planning capabilities.
• Design, test, document, and maintain software applications and utilities.
• Support autonomous navigation and mission planning capabilities.
• Develop interfaces using MAVLink and related protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and end users to create solutions.
• Support testing, demonstrations, fielding events, and mission support.
