Job summary

Anduril Industries in Washington, DC or Seattle, WA is seeking a Product Manager to shape and deliver features for the next generation of autonomous air and missile defense systems. You will develop domain expertise and translate warfighter needs into detailed, actionable roadmaps for autonomy capabilities.

You will work hands-on to deliver new capabilities across the lifecycle, ensuring safety and appropriate AI integration while collaborating with engineering, test, and program teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in software product management, ideally in technically advanced domains such as autonomous systems or AI/ML products.
• Active U.S. security clearance (Top Secret preferred) or ability to obtain one.
• Strong understanding of autonomy concepts: state estimation, planning, and closed-loop control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Foundational knowledge of backend web technologies and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated aptitude for prototyping solutions, including AI code generation.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for autonomy capabilities, including backend services and UI oversight.
• Define autonomy behavior and human–machine interfaces, safety guards, and control mechanisms.
• Coordinate with engineering to surface dependencies, track delivery, and hold stakeholders accountable to schedule.
• Communicate roadmaps and goals to stakeholders, manage expectations, and escalate critical trade-offs as needed.
• Act as owner of the autonomy capability area, collaborating with business development, marketing, and compliance for external communications.
• Develop capabilities end-to-end from initial release to day-to-day improvements, and validate through testing and user feedback.
• Define and monitor key metrics for autonomy performance, safety, and controls in realistic conditions.
• Interview operators and experts to derive user needs and feed them into product decisions.
• Bridge business and technical teams, working with engineers and designers and coordinating with marketing, finance, and operations.
• Partner with test engineers and program teams to craft rigorous testing scenarios and rapid iteration cycles.
