Wayve is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Robot Software team in Sunnyvale to shape the 12–24 month technical roadmap and lead cross-team delivery across vehicle programs. You will influence reliability, velocity, and platform observability while guiding architecture through Autonomy, Simulation, and hardware partnerships.
This role requires hands-on coding, system-level thinking, and the ability to drive complex decisions toward measurable outcomes.
Formación
- Led large technical initiatives involving multiple engineering teams.
- Defined architecture and strategy while coding to debug cross-domain problems.
- Proficient with modern C++ and embedded, robotics, automotive systems.
- Effective communicator across teams, focused on reliability and velocity.
- Experience with Linux/QNX, middleware, and CI/CD is valuable.
Responsabilidades
- Define and refine Robot Software roadmap.
- Lead high-impact platform initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Align architectures across Robot Software, Autonomy, Simulation, and hardware.
- Design observable, diagnosable, and supportable systems.
- Improve developer experience, logging, metrics, deployment and fault isolation.
- Mentor senior engineers to reach evidence-based decisions.
