Job summary

DeWinter Group is seeking a Plant Issue Resolution Engineer to lead rapid containment and root-cause analysis for body and closure systems in our Hayward, CA manufacturing facility. You will partner with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to ensure issues are resolved at their source and that builds meet readiness standards.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, 6–8 years in automotive or robotics environments, and a track record of delivering corrective actions in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6–8 years in automotive OEMs, robotics, aviation or similar hardware systems.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions in manufacturing or product engineering.
• Knowledge of vehicle body systems (doors, latches, actuators, seals, structures).
• Excellent cross-functional communication and ability to work in high-urgency settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid containment and resolution of issues related to body and closure systems.
• Support prototype builds, engineering changes and process improvements.
• Collaborate across manufacturing, design and quality to drive root cause fixes.
• Ensure builds meet readiness standards and quality targets.
