Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer for the Vehicle Development team in Foster City, CA onsite. You will lead issue triage, containment, and root-cause analysis across door systems, latches, actuators, and body structures, coordinating cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions and improve manufacturability.

The role requires 6–8 years in advanced hardware systems manufacturing, with strong knowledge of DFМ, Lean/Six Sigma principles, and data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6-8 years in automotive OEMs, robotics, aviation or similar hardware manufacturing.
• Experience leading root cause analyses and corrective actions in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead triage, containment, and resolution for issues in general assembly and end-of-line testing (doors, latches, actuators, sealing, panels).
• Define short-term containment actions and rework plans.
• Collaborate across design, process, supplier and manufacturing to drive DFМ improvements and PCA implementation.
• Support prototypes, production trials, and engineering changes to validate fixes and improve manufacturability.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track issue health and recurrence.
