Job summary

ManpowerGroup’s client, a leader in autonomous vehicle manufacturing, is seeking a Plant Issue Resolution Engineer in Fremont, CA. The role focuses on triage, containment, and resolution planning for issues arising during general assembly and end-of-line testing for fleets and pre-production robotaxi builds.

You will define containment actions, perform root cause analysis across design, process, supplier, and manufacturing domains, and drive permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead triage, containment, and resolution planning of issues identified during general assembly and end-of-line testing for autonomous vehicle fleets and pre-production robotaxi builds.
• Define and execute short-term containment actions, including rework plans, part quarantine, and build flow protection.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to conduct root cause analysis across design, process, supplier, and manufacturing domains, identifying and prioritizing blockers.
• Support the implementation of permanent corrective actions (PCA) to prevent recurrence and improve manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor issue health, closure rates, and recurrence, enhancing problem-solving processes.
