Job summary

DeWinter Group in Fremont, CA is seeking a Plant Issue Resolution Engineer to ensure the quality and readiness of autonomous test fleets during assembly and pre-production testing. You will identify, contain, and drive rapid resolution of issues to maintain vehicle integrity and schedule adherence.

Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions in production or field settings, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to sustain durable, fleet-ready robotaxi

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• 6-8 years of experience in automotive OEMs, robotics, aviation, or complex hardware manufacturing environments
• Profound knowledge of OEM vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses, control units, sensors, and mechanical components
• Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in production or field settings
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced environments
• Skilled in issue triage, containment strategies, and process development for manufacturing quality assurance

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis and containment during assembly and pre-production testing
• Identify, contain and resolve issues rapidly to maintain vehicle integrity and schedules
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality and suppliers to drive corrective actions and improvements
