Job summary

Nuro is hiring an Autonomous Vehicle Operator to run manual and autonomous test vehicles in Los Angeles, reporting to a safety-conscious team. You will collect real-world data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to safety standards while engaging with the public and senior leaders during select rides.

The role includes overnight shifts, a 5-day workweek, and access to a competitive benefits package. A base hourly rate of $27.25 is provided, with weekend differentials and potential bonuses

Qualifications

• Current valid California driver's license and 3+ years US license
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Pass training checkpoints in and out of the vehicle
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-driven with reliability and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Operate a vehicle in manual and autonomous mode up to 8 hours per day
• Utilize software to collect data and provide feedback to engineers
• Troubleshoot issues with Mission Operations to meet mileage targets
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks
• Educate the public about autonomous vehicle technologies
• Occasionally serve as company ambassador during high-profile rides
• Monitor safety and navigational systems and maintain situational awareness
