Job summary

Nuro is seeking Autonomous Vehicle Operators (AVOs) for a full-time position in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will operate autonomous test vehicles and ensure safety and compliance while assisting in training our self-driving technology.

The ideal candidate should possess a California driver’s license, have strong problem-solving abilities, and be able to work independently or with small teams. A competitive benefits package is offered, including a base pay of $26/hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a current valid California driver’s license with 3+ years of possession.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Comfortable using online collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Google Meet).
• Able to operate standard field equipment.
• Exhibits calmness under pressure for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate autonomous vehicles in various traffic conditions.
• Utilize proprietary software for data collection.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections.
• Interact with the public to educate on autonomous technologies.
