Job summary

Technology Service Corporation (TSC) in Arlington, VA seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test software for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS). You will work on flight components for Group 4/5 UAVs as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, integration, and testing of embedded systems and autonomous vehicle control software, with up to 10% travel to sites and ranges. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor's degree in CS or engineering
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain Top Secret DoD clearance
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, JavaScript; embedded systems for autonomous vehicles
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, analysis, testing
• Experience with electrical components, data retrieval, and device programming
• Effective communication in an engineering environment

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain clean, well-documented code for embedded systems
• Assist in debugging and testing a larger codebase with a multi-developer team
• Conduct developmental test to identify/fix issues
• Support software system development activities for UAS platforms, including prototyping and evaluation
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team locally and across locations
• Work with product owners to build software solutions for corresponding requirements
