Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is hiring for a Technical Support role to install, maintain, and support onboard and wireless technologies in Mine Operations at the Bagdad, AZ site. You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and maintain critical documentation and SOPs.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, safety, and the ability to work in extreme conditions while supporting fleet, safety, and environmental programs.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and support onboard and wireless technologies used in Mine Operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance on low-voltage devices, wireless networks, and infrastructure.
• Maintain documentation and follow SOPs; support radios, GPS, and wireless clients for vehicles.
