Job summary

DoorDash Labs, the independent team within DoorDash, is hiring a Senior Operations Specialist to lead an operations team focused on autonomy goals. This role is onsite at our Mesa, AZ hub with some duties in Chandler and Tempe and reports to the Operations Manager on the robotics team.

You will manage a PM shift (3:30-12AM MST), drive testing, translate ideas into commercial autonomous solutions, communicate with stakeholders, and balance costs, safety, and performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in autonomous industry or related field.
• Valid US driver's license and clean MVR.
• Experience leading an operationally efficient team through multiple product phases.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to derive actionable insights; proficient with gSuite, JIRA, and SQL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a PM shift (3:30-12AM MST) of autonomous testing operations.
• Communicate status updates to stakeholders and escalate issues.
• Serve as escalation path for field incidents and onsite presence.
• Balance business needs, costs, and safety with an 'and not either/or' mindset.
• Act as an expert on autonomous technology and track changes.
