Job summary

LifeBridge Health's Carroll Hospital in Westminster, MD seeks a Certified Surgical Tech to function as a scrub tech, preparing sterile instruments and supplies and maintaining sterile fields throughout operations in a busy community operating room.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of healthcare experience with sterile technique knowledge.
• CST certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Support surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to sterile field standards.
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently throughout procedures.
• Follow hospital policies and AORN standards to promote patient safety and quality care.
• Manage instrument decontamination and ensure proper care and maintenance of surgical equipment after procedures.
• Communicate important patient and procedural information effectively with the surgical team.
