Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking an Associate Optometrist to be the clinical partner to the Vision Center Manager. You will provide evidence-based vision care, prescribe medications, and educate patients and staff while leveraging advanced technology such as digital phoropters and Maestro EMR/retinal imaging.

The role requires a Doctoral degree in Optometry, active licensure, and a passion for community eyecare. This is a patient-centered, fast-paced team environment aligned with Walmart's healthcare

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from accredited optometry school.
Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.
EMR/EHR experience.
Eagerness to embrace new equipment technology and advanced instrumentation.
Experience in Treating and managing ocular disease.

Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
Deliver routine vision care using evidence-based guidelines.
Educate patients and store associates on eye health and contact lens care.
Consult with other health professionals to prepare patient care plans within optometry scope of practice.
