The role emphasizes autonomy, community trust, and the use of advanced instrumentation like digital phoropters and OCT/retinal cameras to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• OD from accredited optometry school
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice
• EMR/EHR experience
• Experience in treating and managing ocular disease
• Eagerness to embrace new equipment and advanced instrumentation

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications and treatments per state scope
• Deliver routine vision care using evidence-based guidelines
• Educate patients and store associates on eye health and contact lens care
• Consult with other health professionals to prepare patient care plans
• Embrace new equipment and instrumentation such as digital phoropters and OCT retinas camera
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for prescriptions and merchandise
