Job summary

Friendship Village Retirement Community is seeking an IT Support Technician to manage daily technical operations for staff. You will be the primary contact for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, with involvement in workstation deployments and POS support.

Responsibilities include provisioning devices, supporting the on-prem Active Directory, and assisting with VoIP and iPad management. The role offers autonomy in a small team and opportunities to grow technical skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of IT help desk experience or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and crawl under desks.
• Strong patience, empathy, and communication with non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and upgrade workstations from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
• Provide first-line help desk support for hardware, software, printing, and connectivity.
• Assist with on-prem Active Directory user management and password resets.
• Support Full Count POS terminals and related peripherals.
• Assist with Avaya phone system and iPad/iOS device setup.
• Maintain accurate hardware asset inventory and document fixes.
