Corus Health in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our hospice team in a highly autonomous role with a 7-on / 7-off schedule (Friday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM and alternating weekends). You will provide skilled nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support for patients at end of life, triage after-hours, document per agency protocols, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while staying connected to the care plan.
Qualifications
Licensed RN in New Mexico.
Minimum of 1 year of hospice experience.
Comfortable working independently, especially during off-hours.
Strong clinical judgment and emotional presence.
Responsibilities
Provide skilled nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support for patients with life-limiting illness.
Triage and respond to patient needs during evening and overnight hours.
Work independently while remaining closely connected to the interdisciplinary team.
Communicate with physicians, families, and care team members regarding changes in condition.
Ensure accurate, timely documentation in accordance with agency protocols.
Covers incoming calls for Home Health, including triaging needs and making visits as necessary.
Navigate in-home settings throughout Bernalillo and surrounding counties.
Adhere to hospice regulations and uphold the mission of Corus Hospice.
