Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an Autonomous Hauling Technology Consultant to join the Autonomy team and lead the deployment of MineStar Command for Hauling at quarry operations in North America. You will collaborate with customers, dealers, and Caterpillar experts to ensure safe, efficient autonomous operations and ongoing performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise in mining or quarry technologies and MineStar Command for Hauling in operational environments.
• Strong field support experience with complex hardware and software systems.
• Proven problem-solving ability to diagnose and resolve operational/technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for autonomous site work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the optimization of MineStar Command for Hauling at customer sites to achieve safety, productivity, and targets.
• Serve as trusted advisor to customer teams on system performance, reliability, and fleet optimization.
• Monitor system performance using machine data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, operations excellence, and production optimization.
• Develop and maintain training materials, QA processes, and operational documentation for knowledge transfer.
• Partner with Caterpillar engineering and product support to resolve challenges and influence future product development.
• Contribute to Remote Operations Support capabilities by improving processes and tools as autonomy scales globally.
