Caterpillar seeks a MineStar Onboard Engineer based in Phoenix, Arizona. You will be the on-site technical expert supporting MineStar Command for Hauling, collaborating with maintenance teams, Caterpillar engineers, and dealers to maximize uptime on autonomous haul trucks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with autonomous mining technologies and MineStar solutions.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and machine health data.

Responsibilities

• Own onboard hardware health and fleet availability for MineStar Command-equipped autonomous haul trucks.
• Analyze machine performance, reliability, and failure trends to improve uptime and productivity.
• Support integration of onboard mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and autonomous control systems.
• Lead root-cause investigations with cross-functional teams.
• Interpret health data and fault codes to develop practical improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance and operations personnel.
• Present findings and recommendations to customers and Caterpillar leadership.
• Collaborate with Caterpillar engineering teams to validate product improvements.
