Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Autonomous Hauling Technology Consultant to lead MineStar Command for Hauling deployment at quarry sites across North America.

You will partner with customers, dealers, and Caterpillar experts to ensure safe, efficient autonomous operations and drive measurable performance improvements. Ideal candidates bring deep mining/quarry tech expertise, hands-on experience with MineStar tools, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise in mining or quarry technologies and MineStar Command for Hauling.
• Proven field support experience on complex hardware/software in mining/industrial settings.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with logs/telemetry.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for autonomous customer sites.
• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead optimization of MineStar Command for Hauling at customer sites to meet safety and production targets.
• Serve as trusted advisor on system performance, reliability, and fleet optimization.
• Monitor performance using telemetry, identify trends, troubleshoot, and implement improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety and production optimization.
• Develop training materials, QA processes, and documentation for knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with Caterpillar engineering to resolve challenges and influence product development.
• Contribute to Remote Operations Support capabilities as autonomous mining scales globally.
