Job summary

Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility team seeks a Software Development Engineer to join the Fleet Management group in North Reading, MA. You will help design and deploy services that allocate and track tasks for a fleet of autonomous vehicles, contributing to the integration of robots into the Amazon fulfillment network.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will influence long-term strategy, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with partners to test prototypes with live equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience on large-scale systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded software applications, tools, systems, and services using C++, Java, C#, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure.
• Influence the team's strategy and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate on design and implementation.
• Maintain high quality through reviews and fault-tolerant design.
• Prototype and test concepts via simulation and live robotics.
• Collaborate with customers to test prototypes and gather feedback.
• Mentor other engineers on the team.
