Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under supervision for diverse surgical procedures at the UAB St. Vincent’s East campus.

You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and work within a team of anesthesiologists and surgeons. Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program, Alabama CRNA license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
• Alabama Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist license required.
• Current BLS certification and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Participates in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
• Key Responsibilities are performed under the direction of the anesthesiologists according to the policy and procedures of the Department of Anesthesiology.
