Job summary
UAB Medicine is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join the anesthesia team at UAB St. Vincent's East in the Birmingham area.
The CRNA provides anesthesia under the direction of anesthesiologists for diverse surgical procedures and participates in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program, Alabama CRNA license, and current BLS/ACLS certifications.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program is required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Alabama CRNA license is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
- Participate in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
- Operate within the policy and procedures of the Department of Anesthesiology; collaborate with surgeons and clinicians.
