Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in healthcare coordination or related role preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows preferred.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Typing speed of 45 WPM; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard office software.
• Strong organizational and multi-priority management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, evaluations, procedures, and follow-up visits.
• Communicate treatment plans, appointment details, and care instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and the care team.
• Monitor and track patient progress and ensure follow-up care is completed.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain accurate patient information in the EMR.
• Respond to patient inquiries in a timely, compassionate manner.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and community resources as needed.
• Verify authorizations, orders, and documents before scheduled services.
• Help patients understand care plans and navigate the healthcare system.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve barriers to care.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations.
