Job summary

Lee Motor Group in Clayton, NC is seeking an organized Title Clerk to manage state registrations, titles, and related paperwork. You will handle registrations for new and used vehicles, process payoffs, issue plates, and coordinate with the DMV to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Highly organized and eager to improve.
• Willingness to take initiative and be proactive.
• Computer literacy with strong writing and grammar skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks easily.
• Ability to provide quality customer service.
• Able to work with all levels of employees.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Process documents for state registration, follow proper paperwork and ensure tax and title documents are completed.
• Process all payoffs, registrations for new and pre-owned vehicles, all license plate issuing and transfers, and obtain dealer titles.
• Send bills, contracts, warranties and service contracts to the appropriate agency (e.g., DMV).
• Check for completeness and signatures on forms; verify sale and purchase prices when applicable.
• Maintain a file of sales, prices, payments, warranties, service contracts and other vehicle transfer information.
• Maintain titles and MSOs for inventory and prepare title work for sold vehicles.
• Submit titles for DMV processing and manage out-of-state title verifications.
• Enter used vehicle purchases into inventory and post deals to accounting.
