Job summary

Steven Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Title Clerk to join our family of six dealerships. You will process vehicle titles, registrations, and related paperwork, ensuring accuracy and timely completion as part of our Finance and Accounting teams.

Ideal candidates bring title clerk or dealership admin experience, knowledge of Virginia DMV procedures, excellent organization, and strong communication skills to maintain confidential records and support dealership operations.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive title clerk or dealership administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Virginia DMV title and registration procedures preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and dealership software.

Responsibilities

• Process vehicle titles, registrations, and ownership transfers for new and pre-owned vehicles.
• Prepare, review, and submit title and registration paperwork in accordance with Virginia DMV requirements.
• Verify vehicle information, customer documentation, and deal jackets for accuracy and completeness.
• Track title applications and follow up on outstanding titles.
• Resolve title discrepancies, missing documents, and registration issues.
• Maintain organized title records and ensure all documentation is properly filed.
• Communicate with the DMV, financial institutions, and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with processing out-of-state titles and registrations.
• Ensure title work is completed within required deadlines.
• Support the Finance and Accounting departments with additional administrative duties as needed.
